I'm gone there prior to have the quest and i knocked down the beehives like you and i collected the two queen, but only the young one showed up in my inventory, so the quest was broken.

Okay, so I finished the game and did not get Like a Ghost. The spiders and later the skeletons count as detection. I did get Dodgy Mouse/Crash Diet but I avoided the beehives as I wasn't sure if they would cause the Dodgy Mouse achievement to fail (perhaps someone can confirm that one). I tried dodging the three spiders in the banner room.
